Dr. Mudflap

My bike got covered in sludge on my last ride. When I got the bike home and everything started to melt on the floor, it looked like this:A mess on the floor

No good at all.

I had read Alex Wetmore’s directions on making a mudflap out of rubber. Alex’s method meant I had to get off my lazy butt and go to the hardware store.

Then, I was looking at the Berthoud pre-fab leather ones , when I had an idea…

I had just recieved a Dremel Tool as a Christmas gift, and I had an old pair of leather shoes laying around gathering dust.

After the dust cleared, I had this:

Bone's Custom Mudflap

The toungue of the shoe is zip-tied to the fender, and I think it’s long enough to keep slop off the bottom bracket and chain.
